O.P.S. Breznik d.o.o. has received the Gold Regional Award from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) for Best Innovations 2026 for the innovation “Innovative Hot-Runner System with Needle Shut-Off and Integrated Gas Injection.”
This important award confirms the success of our development work and advances the innovation to the GZS national competition for the best innovations in Slovenia for 2026.
The award-winning innovation, developed in cooperation with the Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO), represents a breakthrough hybrid system in the field of plastic injection molding. The solution enables gas injection directly through the hot-runner system’s needle shut-off nozzle, with the key novelty being the integration of a porous insert with a gas channel for direct gas injection into the system’s shut-off needle.
The developed technology opens up new possibilities for optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and using materials and energy more efficiently. In doing so, it significantly contributes to the development of advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainable solutions for the industry of the future.
